2/3/2026 Update Regarding 2026 Annuitant Trustee Special Election

Voting for the 2026 Annuitant Trustee Special Election began Thursday, January 29, 2026 and runs through Monday, February 9, 2026, 11:59 PM CST.

Beginning on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, the mid- point of the Special Election timeline, the Independent Election Administrator will send reminder emails to any eligible voter for which: 1) A vote has not been recorded by either the secure election website or the secure election phone number; and 2) A valid email address is on record with the Fund.

ELIGIBLE VOTERS WITH A VALID EMAIL ADDRESS ON RECORD WITH THE FUND ARE REMINDED TO CHECK YOUR SPAM OR JUNK FOLDER IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM noreply@directvote.net IN YOUR EMAIL INBOX.

Annuitant Members who are eligible to vote should have received a hard copy letter delivered by the USPS to their physical mailing address on file with the Fund.  That letter contains the individual voting credentials for each eligible voter as well as instructions on how to access the Independent Election Administrator’s secure voting website or secure voting telephone number.

The Fund wants to ensure that all eligible voters have the opportunity to vote by the Monday, February 9, 2026, 11:59 PM CST deadline.  If an eligible voter has not received the hard copy election letter, or the election email from noreply@directvote.net , please contact the Fund by the close of business on Thursday, February 5, 2026 and submit the “Email_Authorization” form to update your email address.  This form must be returned via email to info@chipabf.org with a copy of a valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license).  The “Email_Authorization” form can be found on the “FORMS” page found under “HELPFUL CONTENT” on the Fund’s website or accessed via the following link.  Please make sure that any information you provide on the form is legible since the inability for the Fund to read information can prevent the proper updating of records.

Due to the time it may take to update the Independent Election Administrator’s email address database, we cannot guarantee that submissions received after the close of business on Thursday, February 5, 2026 will be processed by the Independent Election Administrator and therefore, you may not receive an email with your voting credentials by the February 9, 2026, 11:59 PM CST deadline.
