Brock Merck

Trustee Merck was elected to serve on the Board as of May 29, 2024, representing the ranks of Investigator, Patrolman or rank equivalent. A native Chicagoan, Detective Merck attended St. Mary of The Woods grammar school and Loyola Academy high school and is an Eagle Scout.  He served our county in the U.S. Army as an Infantry Officer in Afghanistan and was awarded the Bronze Star.  Detective Merck is well traveled, having been to all 50 states as well as a couple dozen countries.  Detective Merck has also been a Trustee with FOP Lodge 7, serving on the 990/Finance, Grievance, FTO, and PAC committees.  He has served as a Police Officer in 014 (Unit Rep), a Field Training Officer in 016 (Unit Rep) and a Detective in 630/650.

Michael K. Lappe

Trustee Lappe has served as a member of the Board since December 2012, initially as the Patrolmen’s representative and now as the annuitant representative.

Officer Lappe began his career as a sworn member of the Chicago Police Department in February 1985 and retired from the CPD in July 2017. In addition to his role as a trustee, Trustee Lappe has held various positions with FOP over the past two decades. He also served as an Adjunct Professor for Lewis University, teaching Criminal Justice courses for officers continuing in their studies.

Michael J. Stiscak

Trustee Stiscak has been serving  as an elected member of the Board since September 2020, representing the rank of Lieutenants, Captains, and Exempt members of the Chicago Police Department. Lieutenant Stiscak began his career as a sworn officer with the Chicago Police Department in 1991.  During his career with CPD, Trustee Stiscak has served as a Patrol Officer, Youth Investigator, Detective, Sergeant and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2008. In addition to his Trustee position, Trustee Stiscak serves as the Lieutenant’s Union President PBPA 156B.

John Lally

Trustee Lally has been serving as an elected member of the Board since September 2020, representing the rank of Sergeant. Sergeant Lally began his career as a sworn officer with the Chicago Police Department in 2001. During his career with CPD, Trustee Lally has served as a Patrol Officer, Detective and was promoted to Sergeant in 2016.

Melissa Conyears-Ervin

Trustee Conyears-Ervin has been serving as an appointed member of the Board since May 2019. Trustee Conyears-Ervin is the elected Treasurer for the City of Chicago and prior to taking on the role of City Treasurer, she represented the 10th District as a State Representative with the Illinois House of Representatives.

Annette Guzman

Trustee Guzman has been serving as an appointed member of the Board since June 2023.  Ms. Guzman is currently the Budget Director for the City of Chicago and has served in that role since May 2023.

Jill Jaworski

Trustee Jaworski has been an appointed member of the Board since June 2023.  Ms. Jaworski is the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Chicago and has served in that role since June 2023.

Jeffrey Levine

Trustee Levine has been serving as an appointed member of the Board since June 2023.  Mr. Levine currently works in the Office of the Mayor of the City of Chicago.
